Our original intent when we purchased the farm was to build a vineyard and winery, with a commitment to only growing grapes that could thrive in our terroir, without the use of chemicals.
Experiments with multiple hybrid grapes from Cornell and the University of Minnesota convinced us this was not commercially feasible (but the grandchildren had fun helping harvest, destem, and press grapes).
